The only surface activity seen in the past three years has been that of autonomous mechanized vehicles pieced together with what technology remains. Gradually, pockets of valuable stuff have been discovered. The bad guys, those who think all humans should be extinct so the earth can return to what they call the "natural balance", want to destroy it.
